Cover Comparisions by Bliss

My cover, “Paint by Pixels” has similar colors with the cover of the tree. In these two covers, the color scheme is a bright mix of visuals. These two covers feature orange, yellow, red, and blue. My cover illustrates a man and a woman admiring a painting together, and in the cover of the tree, a man is admiring the tree. “Paint by Pixels” has a centerpiece that doesn’t actually show an abstract image of art, but the centerpiece in the other cover shows a tree which is carved into a woman.

“Paint by Pixels” is hardly similar to the cover of the with the New York City skyline. The color schemes on two covers are different. The cover with the skyline even seems to represent a dullness because of the dark colors within the illustration: dark blue, gray, and dark purple. What I noticed in these two covers is that the characters are both staring into the something. The characters in “Paint by Pixels” seem to be lost in the artwork while the characters in the skyline are gazing into the sky. In these two covers, I find it significant that they both represent a togetherness among the characters featured in the image. The couple in “Paint by Pixels” are viewing the artwork together while the characters in the skyline cover are celebrating.
